Design-wise, I give a 10/10. They met my expectations 100% according to what I was looking for above~

Enlargement-wise, I also give a 10/10. FYI these are a 14.5mm size, and with the design it doesn't have a super-enlarging effect. For those who would like to wear this with no makeup, these will look really good and won't make you look freakishly soulless.

As far as Comfort though, I'd give an 8/10. In the beginning I had issues with these sitting well in my eye, mainly feelings of dryness and discomfort. Eventually I guess whatever caused that finally got soaked off, but once in a while I get issues of discomfort with these. I'd say rather than the general 8 hours or so, these usually last maybe 5-6 hours before I need to grab some saline.

Finally posting my review on the Vassen Diamond 3-Tones in Gray!
I wanted to wait until I caught up on my past posts but... I'm taking way too long so here you go xD




So these lenses are really pretty, I like them a lot because they remind me too much of my beloved EOS Diamond grays, so right now these are my most worn lenses. But even then, I did come a little bit disappointed because of the design.

I bought these from LoveShoppingHolics.com, their customer service and shipping was excellent, by the way, especially with all the free gifties I got from them~

 I got em because of the preview image that was popping up everywhere, which made the lenses look like shards of glass (I guess that doesn't sound too appealing when talking about your eye xD



I mean, look at them. They look so damn glittery and shkdbasjshasvd I just had to have them!

But unfortunately, when I actually got them and tried them on, they just... weren't the same. I don't know what it is, because I have brown eyes like the girl sporting them in this image, but it's just not the same. I expected them to be crazier than the EOS Diamonds, but in terms of the 'sparkle' effect, they're basically the same, if not a tiny bit more, but it's not to the extent of this photo. Maybe it's the reflection in her eyes that makes them look more beautiful? I don't know... Even when I'm in bright light, the 'shards' look less like shards and just like blocks of color/debris on my eye. So all you'll really see are blotches of black, gray, and brown over my eyes. Maybe I just need to get used to the design itself...


Besides the design, the comfort is pretty damn good. If you know me, I don't like straying away from EOS brand lenses too much, especially in light of some of the drama concerning Dueba lenses. But I wanted to try these, especially after seeing my girl Chantal try them and enjoy them. Man, Vassen are just as comfortable as EOS. They're officially my second-favorite lens line to look after. The other night I wore them for the Kawaii International recording (I'll get to that post soon, hopefully) and it ended up being over 12 hours before I could take them out x_x but the entire time they were comfortable. Hardly felt them on my eye at all, and even when I took them out, my eye wasn't ridiculously irritated as usual from wearing lenses in for so long. Instant fan.


So let me give you the rundown!

Design: 7.5-8, because I feel they weren't as accurate to the photo as I had hoped. But as a Diamonds groupie, I definitely enjoy them regardless.
Size: 10/10. These are 14.5 mm, and they look accurate to their size~
Comfort: 10/10. They're pretty damn comfortable.


Would I get them in another color? Maaaaaybe, poooooossibly in blue or lilac. But I'd probably play it safe by getting them in EOS Diamonds first before trying this design in non-neutral colors

My long awaited moriwig post~



Like I explained in the video (end of the page), I didn't record a tutorial mainly because this was a first-run, I didn't really know what direction I was going in, plus the dark/black colors of the wig and then on top of it, I STILL haven't found my tripod (seriously, where the hell did I leave it???). So in the future I'll be getting a lighter colored wig, maybe mid-December, or even January, and hopefully by then my tripod will pop up and I can make some videos. I've been feeling for a makeup runthrough, but I can't make one when I can't even find my stand...


Anyways, instead of video I took a couple of photos of the process. Before, during/in between each process, my first "finish" and then my second "finish" since I wasn't satisfied with what I did with the top.








The first thing I did was cut layers into it. I didn't really pay attention to how short~ I just started snipping a bunch from the top, and then made my way down the wig~ leaving the bottom part uncut for length.
Then I brushed it, sectioned it, and curled it.







Every curl I did needed about 2-3 minutes maybe, and once I slid the hair off my curling iron, I did it gently so it would be tightly curled still, and then I blew on the hot curls until it cools. Rinse and repeat. This was so time consuming.

After curling the entire head, I teased the hair. Now my process might seem a little strange...



I took all the hair from the crown up, tied it in a loose bun. I pretty much sprayed and teased the center area first. Then I made my way down, and then back and to the top.


I felt this was easier because while I was working my way down, the already-done parts were flipped to the other side of the head, to help the spray dry and the teased area to stand up better against it's weight... and then doing the top area last helps it from getting potentially smushed from me holding the wig a certain way, etc. And then WHILE I was teasing the root-area, I was also layering the curled ends with spray, to help them get stiff.





The fluffiness of the center area of the PINK side, once I was done with the bottom half of the wig.


I didn't tease the last couple of wefts from the bottom, since it was styled for length rather than volume. Once I was done with the bottom, I started sort of  fingercombing it to separate some of the girls and make the hair more fluffy.

When I was done with most of the curling (save maybe, 2-3 weft layers from the very top), I twisted the very back of the wig up into two twists and pinned it in place to help the beehive-type volume. There's something about the way you twist or braid hair that lets it fluff better...





Now here is my first run... when I got to the crown of the head, suddenly I started thinking like, 'what hairstyle am I trying to achieve?" "How is the top going to look?" If you look at morihair, there's so many things you can do, especially to that very top layer. Me being tired, I just curled it any old way.... it came out like this:





It wasn't too bad. What I -tried- to do was have the two colors layering evernly over the opposite side. This run didn't seem as good and I didn't really know why-- so for the sake of that day, since I had a meet to go to, and I was exhausted after 7 HOURS of hairfixing at that point, I just slapped on some Marie ears.


Now later on, I talked to my girl Shiena about it... She gave me tips on how she layers multi-toned hair and makes it look even.. which is to basically spread each color other across the bump, layer by layer. So with that in mind, I was fortunately able to re-straighten those very-top layers, and tried to curl them into very straightish curls, and layer the hair. Then, I worked on the ponytail curls,  which I use mainly to make the wig look even more lengthy.

Despite it being a bit wonky, since I was only really able to do so many layers since the rest of the hair was already really teased, it came out like this:



I loved this result. I loved it and I honestly can't wait to do it again. sdjahdksdbas So definitely when I get a new wig, it's going down.


Overall, the only thing I didn't like was the bangs... since they were blunt bangs and you could do but so much with them. But I try to manage :3











This is me basically talking for 10 minutes over this hairstyle. Jeez.10 minutes of exhausted babble.

Anyways~ this was a general runthrough~ hope it made some sense. Hopefully in the near future I'll mess with the new wig and actually have video and non-confusing instructions~

Right now I'm sitting here waiting for this Hurricane Sandy to supposedly wreak havoc in my area... the winds are slowly picking up, though the worst is supposed to be around the afternoon. Ugh.

My power's been flickering in and out, so I tried to just upload this review that I finally put together! It's just a review on my Mintymix Deep Pink x Black split wavy wig. Like I said before, I wanted to start doing this so other darker skinned girls would be able to sort of get an idea of how unnatural colored wigs look on them. Hopefully soon I'll be making another one in the coming weeks~

I decided to make a completely new Youtube channel.
You may ask, 'what's the use of making a whole new one?'

WELL! The main reason why I wanted to change is really because I wanted to try to do a Youtube partnership and stuff in the future.. sadly a lot of my old videos have copywritten music and I no longer have the raw clips to redo all the reviews and then put uncopywritten/royalty-free music to it. I also want to try and lose my iconic 'Amanikitty' username. I've had that username since I was 14 years old, so it's been like 8 years and I want to drop the 'kitty' from my name = w= I'll only maybe keep my Livejournal account with it's original name for identity purposes

Those, and then I wanted to try and make a cleaner image for myself. e.x.: Actually trying to film in a mostly clean room, actually looking presentable/decent in my videos, less vulgarity/cussing, less derping, etc. Just generally being more active and taking my videos and my image more seriously, even though I still consider myself a personal blogger more than anything. I'm also reorganizing my playlist albums so people can use them as reference and stuff.

I hope to do makeup tutorials since a lot of my bbys on Tumblr and Facebook are always all "y skin/make so flawless ambur ; w;" ; Also~ the wig reviews that I've always said I'd do! I'm also looking into modifying my wigs (because Kammie were hoping for someone to do it) and things and learning to layer them and things like that! Maybe later on I'll do OOTDs and things like that. Whatever I feel like.

Someone compiled all the video clips Kayo took so far and made it into a video. I'm in here too~ I forget where, though xD maybe halfway?ish?

Right now she's in Honolulu, Hawaii~ afterwards she's going to Melbourne, Singapore, and then heading back home to Japan!
I'm so envious of her adventures... ; w;

Finally got around to posting my circle lens review on Youtube~

So our episode of Tokyo Kawaii TV aired on November 5th. It FINALLY reached the internet and we were able to finally watch it. ♥

Basically, I suck at blogging lol.

FINALLY recorded this review, I don't know why it took so damn long, especially since these are my favorite lenses (laziness).





TL;DW:

EOS King/ Candydoll (G-202) in Green

Design: 10/10 (color is vibrant, unlike say, GEO Nudys the natural eye color does not show through the lens, black ring gives a nice pop but one of the more toned down dolly eye looks)
Comfort: 10/10 (can stay in my eye for more than 8 hours without feeling uncomfortable, can't feel them at all)
Enlargement: 10/10 (gives the pop I want and desire~ not too big, not too small, just right~)




Also, just finally ORDERED lenses in a UK Preorder, which I'm praying will get here before September, at latest before New York Comic-Con. At first the pre-order was gonna be done by yesterday the 17th, but now it's being extended to July 30th, because apparently EOS is on a vacation until the 29th or so. The lenses I'm gonna get in this batch are:

- G-202 aka King/Candydolls in Green again (because these I have are technically considered 'expired' since last month... oops?) as well as in BROWN

And hopefully I'll be able to get them all in my prescription!
