Victoria's Secret Semi-Annual gets (Jan 2013)
I got myself a little haul as always during VS's semi-annual~
It was a bit difficult for me this time around because of my trip to Guyana which basically depleted my cashflow for a few weeks. But with VS being evil and coming out with not just one, but ~3~ holiday Bombshell fragrances? I had to do swipe stuff up quick.
If you don't know me like that, Bombshell has always been my favorite fragrance from Victoria's Secret-- so whenever they come out with a special Bombshell fragrance I feel obligated to buy it.
The holiday fragrances were "Bombshell Diamond", "Bombshell Platnium", and "Bombshell Sparkle". The boxes were designed in a way to be like Christmas ornaments..

It was more difficult to find Diamonds when the sale started...
I'm assuming that it was the most popular of the three, not only because of the fragrance, but the design of the perfume bottle as well. It has a 'choker' with cascading stones that looks really sexy.
Sparkle is completely covered in pink glitter, while Platinum is covered in silver glitter with silver chrome stripes.
Unfortunately I wasn't able to get the matching lotions and body spray with these.. but I'll live, haha
And then I succumbed to PINK stuff.... a sports bra and these hot pink sequined shorts.
I was never really one for PINK, but when I looked at VSX and saw that their stuff either wasn't in my correct size or wasn't flattering me that well, and that the prices weren't all that low, I decided to look in the PINK section and I snatched these up.
The sequined shorts were the last pair in my size.. I had to. pink, flashy, and on sale? yep.
The sports bra was more to just go with it. I was never one for sports bras but my God, I love this bra so much now haha. The only thing is that the material is not all that breathable I guess, but I'm forever wearing it around the house and stuff.
And then as far as cosmetics, I didn't go all out. I honestly didn't really like the tones of the lipstick they had, and I wasn't really bent on getting their bigger seasonal makeup palette or anything like that, so I settled on these two.
The bronzer does a pretty good job, it leaves me with a pretty nice glow without being too much. My other bronzer from VS is a bit darker and I mainly use it for contouring, so this is my bronzer when I want to just dust all over my face and body. They had the bigger version of it, but I decided against it because I was kind of tight on money at that moment.
And then there's the "Diamonds After Dark" duo shadow in "Jewel Thief"...
I mainly wanted to get this because I barely have any cooler colors~ so I was like hey, it's silver & blue~ The shadows are very soft, which may be a plus or a negative for some~ I did try doing a makeup look with it that came out okay, but I think I need a better primer or cream shadow underneath for these shadows. I think I'll also try to look into some actual glitter as well to go along with this.
So I didn't get -too- crazy on the sales... but now VS is coming back with their 'Secret Reward' cards again, so I'll probably be going nuts with that in the coming weeks @ w@

July's Haul
Before I post any of my major updates from August, I want to share my haul for the month of July~
More stuff from Strawberry's. I primarily got these for my Michiko cosplay... The green earrings I got by mistake because I bought them and later realized that Michiko's outfit had purple earrings, not green... I wasn't able to return them so I just bought a second pair instead. Might give them in a random giveaway because I know I won't ever wear them! Meanwhile I'm wearing the purple ones regularly @ w@ The shades are nice, but for some reason they're really hard for me to wear. They keep sliding to the tip of my nose...
First off, I finally got my yukata from my friend's group order!
It was one of those 1980yen yukata/obi sets. It was a pretty good buy, but honestly it's cheap in quality compared to my yukata from Sweet Angel! If I had the choice to, I would've bought a similar one from there. But overall, this yukata is okay. I'm just glad that the print came out vibrant..
The gown I purchased for my sister's wedding. I just love the fabric itself, and the ruched details. It reminds me of a night sky..
When the wedding happened, this clutch was my accessory. Ashley Stewart! One of the sisters from my church actually bought this for me ; w; She said she was looking around and then she saw it, and all it's ruffly detail and said 'THAT'S so Amber!" and got it for me! I'm actually not too much of a bag person but it's so pretty, and I'm glad it went with my wedding outfit. I plan to put some winter coords together to match it, as well.
Betsey Johnson thigh highs~ they were only like, 7-9 dollars about? They have this dotted pattern that's really subtle and cute. I definitely plan to get most of the Betsey stuff left at Strawberry's >w>
I bought this bun off eBay (listing is here) because I just wanted to be lazy with my buns. I didn't want to stuff my hair with weave or tease my hair anymore so I got this. Man, does it work wonders. Seriously. I even use it to help fill out my hair when I have it in a ponytail style or something.
This dress I wore to the Shepherd Mother's birthday celebration~ I'm sure I posted about how much I -loathed- this dress at first... I whined to everyone how I don't like it, or it's boldness, or the general style... but now I wear it on a regular basis. I find it to be super cute now, and with my wigs and accessories I wear it very cutesy. Who would have thought.
My Ageha August issue. I was heavily tempted by the makeup bag that was included with it and man, I was not disappointed. I love it! It's actually a makeup bag from Liz Lisa, and it fits everything inside. All my makeup (believe it or not, I don't have that much!). Brushes, compacts, my perfume, lash case, my circle lens case and saline. EVERYTHING. and it still manages to have some space! I can't even..

My Otakon swag. Nothing but free stuff xD Posters from fellow vendors, doujins, postcards and Tiger and Bunny's KeithxIvan pins. Everything is sooo cute. Not too interested in the doujins though, so I'm planning to sell them at some point.

And last but not least, my long-awaited Max Pure greys from Kiwiberry1, that I didn't get in time for the con = w= I've been meaning to edit the video I made for them.. but I think I may redo it all over. These are probably the most uncomfortable EOS lenses I've ever had, which is pretty disappointing! But I'm giving them 2nd and 3rd chances before I determine if they're no good or not... they are cute, though.
That's pretty much it! I didn't get anything in the month of August, but I'm hoping to get some things from Taobao before I start preparing for my Guyana trip with my church. I'm waiting for the summer maxi dresses to go on clearance so I can have that wardrobe for my trip, without any hassle... let's hope that won't end up being too long of a wait.

Christmas presents~
Happy Holidays!
Christmas was pretty good, on Christmas Eve I worked in the morning and then I took a nap when I got home xD; Once I woke up my mom and siblings and nephew was there and we followed through with our usual family Christmas tradition-- eating a buttload of wurst, german potato salad with rolls, cookies (and macarons, since I had some left over), and then passing out the Christmas presents.
Unfortunately I didn't get anything for anyone for Christmas since I usually barely made 30-50 dollars a week, but sometime in January I'll be super late and give stuff out in return ♥
I really loved all of my presents though, from my mom, Cedelia, and Ramon :3 Especially the active wear I got, so I can finally stop going to yoga with like... PJs and shit xD

taken with my webcam xD durpThen on Christmas Day, I ended up going to a friend's house. Pretty much after Christmas morning after the rest of the presents are opened, that's pretty much it xD and I wasn't really in the mood to be stuck inside the house on Christmas day..
Wearing the sweater mom gave, plus the black stockings + legwarmers +black boots. I had black leggings underneath rather than having that pattern show on my skin because it's way too cold for that ; ~; I'll do this outfit again when it's warmer or something.

What I've been pretty much doing lately--pretty simple, with the exception of more shimmery/glittery shadows. Working at Victoria's Secret made me have less patience in doing makeup, especially since I'm beginning to run out of things at home... I've been playing at the beauty rack for a bit too long though... totally going to get their stuff. (My makeup brushes are like useless when it comes to applying the eyeshadow though... no clue why e_e need new ones)
And then~ another Christmas wish come true was snow. Lots of freaking snow xD
I prayed for it and God made it happen... I just never expected it this deep xD Usually in NYC our snow doesn't get too high until the usual snowstorm around January-February. But it really DROPPED the day after Christmas. I was so happy xD
Figured I would dress in lolita, but then realized how high the snow actually was, and how retarded the idea was so I changed xD And helped shovel the stairs in the front.
The front of my house-- there were like 5-6 cars that were abandoned after getting stuck in the middle of the street... most of those cars were still there the next day until their owners were able to dig them out. Because there was a lottt of wind, the front of my house was like knee-length and ever over the knee in some spots xD It was madness.

The side of my house wasn't as bad... more like calf-length, that is until people started shoveling. Some people decided to take it upon themselves to shovel their snow in front of our garage = A= So there's like this 6ft mound still sitting there.I love the snow, but the only thing that really sucked was the sanitation dept. :/ People were concentrating on Manhattan~ Manhattan~ Money-making Manhattan~... but in the meantime the rest of the 4 boroughs were neglected. Like yes.. let's go ahead and make Manhattan clean for the businesses, but leave the actual WORKERS stranded with no place to go.
Like seriously... the first day, pretty much ALL the trains were out. The trains, the buses, nothing was working, not even cabs... and then the sanitation didn't even bother to plow anything. They said that they plowed maybe 60% of the main streets, and then 45% of the smaller streets... the side street has yet to be plowed :/ The bigger street (where all the cars were stuck at) was plowed... pretty much half-assed. Even after they "plowed" the snow? A home gas truck got stuck in the snow. And an access-a-ride.
And apparently someone on our block had died... not sure if they needed the ambulance or if they died of natural causes, but apparently the wife and son of the deceased guy were stuck with a dead body in their apartment for 27 hours :/ because no one was able to pick the body up. Which was absolutely ridiculous... meanwhile... you have Bloomberg talking about "lol chillax, go see a Broadway or something" as if 1) half the people in teh city can even travel to see a show and 2) as if we're all just as wealthy as his selfish ass. Just. asjkdbshns dbhsabssh ashdbass
Anyways... New Year's? I'm not doing anything. I got work tomorrow in the afternoon, and then after that I'm heading straight to church for the night. Now that my birthday is officially a month away, I'm trying to save as much as possible so I can get my birthday outfit sent over and all my birthday plans with Laura confirmed, paid for, done and over with ASAP.
